What People Are Saying
Iris May, It's all your fault I can't get anything done! I started reading your book yesterday after I went to church, come back and read till late last night. Just put it down this morning, 9:45 to eat breakfast!!! I can't put it down. You're such a good storyteller.

What People Are Saying
Being a single mom myself for years, I can relate to some of the sacrifices & predicaments in this engaging book.
The relationships forged through out are so real-some so strong, some so fragile, with some fleeting.
The main circumstance pulls the reader in, then the twists & turns keep you interested. This is a well written story made believable in every way.
— Pat Smith
“I loved 100,000 miles to home. It was a good true love book. I didn’t want to put the book down. There is adventure, tragedy, heartache, and most of all love. I loved that it was a story about true love - God is love.

Congratulations on your book. It is tremendous and a definite contribution to The Great Commission. It has everything including suspense, humor, love, danger, anger, excitement, and the Gospel.
It is so good that I had difficulty putting it down and I finished it in two days.

Short Stories
I will be traveling to Montrose Pa. to the Montrose Writer’s Conference. That was the first writer’s conference I ever attended. it was July of 1992. I had never heard of writer’s conferences and really didn’t like to write. I enjoyed water color painting. I attended a Winning Women’s’ Group in Montrose in February of that year and a dear friend, Eddie Milligan, asked, “What are you doing now I could no longer do nursing because of back surgeries. I didn’t know but told her I felt like God wanted me to write.
She said, “Let’s pray about it.” She came in later with a brochure for the conference. I knew i couldn’t go as my husband had just started for truck driving school and we had no money. A few weeks later she sent me a postcard asking me if I was coming. I told her no and why. She sent back a letter asking if I was at least writing. I wasn’t but I started. Two weeks later she asked me if I could come stay at her house and water her plants and her dog. I was thrilled. My husband was on the road so i was free to go. I did. Millie lived two blocks from the conference. It was all paid and i walked to it every day. I was terrified. I had idea what to expect. The editors and agents were wonderful. I learned so much and made friends for life.
Ironically, her son was home from college. She did not need me, but because of her I am now a published author. God blesses us when we reach out and help others. I call it putting feet to our Christianity.
I am looking forward to seeing many of my friends again this year and learning new and exciting things.
